Clifford M. Gilbert of New Gloucester, son of Marc and Diane Gilbert, recently graduated in May from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and a minor in Communications. Gilbert is a 2003 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and was a member of the 2001 Boys Class C State Championship Soccer Team. While at Bryant University, he was Executive Vice President of the Bryant Marketing Association. He will be assigned to the Connecticut Sales office in Waterbury, Conn. Kudos to Kyle Kyle Robbins was recently recognized at a Court of Honor for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a junior at G-NGHS and the Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 800 in Raymond, where he has been involved in scouting since age six. For his Eagle Scout project, he supervised the building of two washer-board game sets designed to be left outdoors. One set was donated to Camp Sunshine in Casco; the other to Camp Tall Pines (Special Olympics) in Poland. Kyle is the son of Gary and Renee Robbins of West Gray, and the brother of Tayla Robbins. Businesses Needed New Gloucester businesses, civic groups, faith-based organizations, etc. who are interested in having their materials included in the next batch of 40 Welcome, Neighbor packets are asked to please contact Beth Blakeman-Pohl by e-mail: abpohl@securespeed.us. Additionally, those businesses and groups that were included in the initial batch of packets are invited to contribute to the next set. A member of the Welcome, Neighbor group will be contacting you soon to find out if you'd like to participate in this round. If you want to get a jump on the process, you may wish to start putting together 40 of your inserts. Honor Roll Addition Bryce Neal a 6th-grader in Mrs. Fecteau's homeroom has made the Honor Roll for the first quarter. Library Book Groups The holidays are upon us, and the book groups at the New Gloucester Library are looking forward to their reading and their parties! The morning group is reading A Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans. They will be having a holiday party at one of the member's homes on Thursday, December 6. The evening group is reading A Different Kind of Christmas by Alex Haley. They will be meeting at one member's home for a party on Wednesday, December 12. This group also has a new member and we look forward to adding her to our growing group!
