Upper Village Tree Lighting
Staff
The Upper Village Christmas Tree Lighting came together nicely this year. Children singers opened the ceremony singing Jingle Bells with bells jingling. They were wonderful under the direction of Robin Ray. People gathered around with their lighted candles waiting for the tree to come to life with lights. Scott and Karen Harlow had the honors or making this happen. There were ooohs and aaahs as the lights came on; first the bottom, middle and the top with the beautiful star. With the tree glowing in all it's splendor, the crowd joined in singing Silent Night. Hot chocolate and cookies were enjoyed at Cloutier's Market provided by Diane and Bruce Marrone and other nice people who brought in homemade cookies. Thanks! A thank you also goes out to Mike Parsons for trimming the old and dead branches from the tree. It surely looked great after he was done. Enjoy the season and we will see you all again next year. |
