The spirit of Christmas was in the air on Sunday afternoon in front of Stimson Hall. The festivities, which started at 2 p.m., included Donnie Carroll as Master of Ceremonies. The Gray-New Gloucester High School Chorus shared their talents and Jason Cassidy led the crowd in singing carols.

Brad Fogg read Christmas stories and the crowd was treated by the voices of Deb Cabana and Elyse Doyle. The afternoon was filled with wagon rides, cookies and hot chocolate. Santa arrived in a fire truck escorted by Gray Fire and Rescue and climbed to the top of the bucket to light the tree to the amazement of all the watchers.
