Christmas is coming and not only is the goose getting fat (in the words of the old song) but our days are getting bloated with seasonal activities. Let's not get so caught up in the rush that we forget what the season is all about. We expect the Church will be decorated with the traditional greens and garlands this Sunday. The five candles of the Advent wreath will appear. Candle lighting and special readings will remind us of the One whose vital message was "Love on another." Do you have one of those proverbial "people who have everything "on your Christmas list? Maybe a few kind words would mean more to them than anything you could buy.

Thursday morning Bible Study resumed this Thursday after the Thanksgiving break. We meet at 9:30 at the Parish House for treats and conversation.

The Adult Choir and the Puppeteers look forward to your presence at the Christmas consert on December 9 at 3 p.m. Put a big red circle around the date on your calendar. If you'd like to give a pointsettia to grace the chancel on December 23 and Christmas Eve sign up in the Vestry and note the name of the one in whose memory it is dedicated.

Thought for the season: It's as important to spend time and thought as it is to spend money; maybe even more so!
