Heather Maines would appreciate a call if you feel called to help with the ministry of babysitting during the 10:30 a.m. mass on Sunday. This allows parents to focus more fully on the liturgy without the distractions which come with little people. This is also a wonderful opportunity for high school students to earn their community service hours.

Please remember items for our local food pantries. The demand for food is greater as the weather turns colder. With the high cost of fuel, let's not leave anyone having to choose between going hungry or being cold. Non-perishable items may be left at the church on any weekend.

Adult volunteers are needed to assist on a Journey Retreat to be held in Auburn on November 2-4. People are needed for night Adoration, day and night security, kitchen duties and help in caring for the facilities. Baked goods to help complement the meals and snacks are also needed. Four hundred fifty youth are expected to be in attendance. Please call the Journey office at 782-8096 ext. 108 for information or to volunteer.

The Blessing of the Animals, in honor of St. Francis's October Feast will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, at Sacred Heart Church yard, 326 Main Stree, Yarmouth. All pets and/or pet lovers are invited to attend this prayer service and blessing, conducted by Fr. Picard. The event is free and open to the public.
