Men's 4 on 4 Basketball League - Fall League is set to begin October 1 with eight teams. Games will be Mondays and Tuesday nights 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Men's 18 and Over Pickup Basketball - We are currently running Wednesday evenings 7-9 p.m. Pickup is limited to the first 15 to sign in and pay. You must be 18 to play. Men's Flag Football - Pat's Pizza continued their outstanding play by dismantling the Swamp Dawgs, 42-18 and remain unbeaten. Pat's Shaun Morrison was outstanding in victory, tossing 5 touchdown passes and running for one. Dan Diffen caught 2 of the td passes from Morrison. Bill Call of SD threw for a score and ran for one. The Lightning stayed unbeaten as well when they blew out the Dayton Hitmen, 43-14. Eric Gagnon sparkled again for LG, passing for 4 scores and running one in. John Beattie and Josh Deschenes each had a td catch for the Hitmen. Red Dog upended R.B. Allen's Purple Haze, 32-24 in a hard fought game. John O'Brien was brilliant for RD, throwing 5 td passes; Danny Call caught 2 td passes and intercepted 2 as well. Bill Hardwick had 2 td catches for PH. Young Guns held off a late Tailgates Bar Raiders rally, 31-28. Pete Holmquist of YG threw for 5 td's and Chris Bennett had 2 td catches and an int as well for the winners. Jesse Huff led the Raiders with 2 td runs and a td pass. Standings as of 9/29: Lightning 2-0, Pat's Pizza 2-0, Hitmen 1-1, Red Dog 1-1, Purple Haze 1-1, Young Guns 1-1, Raiders 0-2, Swamp Dawgs 0-2. Games are Sunday mornings 8:00, 9:15, 10:30 and 11:45. Player of the Week - (9/23/07-Shaun Morrison-(Pat's Pizza)-5 td passes, 1 td run. |
