There was no way for him to know that the preacher was visiting at his house. He continued to yell, "Guess what? While I was out in the woods, a big rat jumped out on a log. Ma, I got a stick and bashed him right across the head. He fell down alongside of the log kicking and quivering.

"Then, Ma, I hit him again and this time I broke his back. The bone was sticking out through the skin. Then, Ma, I got a big rock and dropped it right on him."

Just then Willy saw the preacher. He gulped, folded his hands piously, produced an angelic look and remarked, "Then God called him home."
