Edythe M. Train GRAY - Edythe M. Train, 66, resident of Shaker Road in Gray died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at her residence. She was born January 29, 1941, in Portland, the daughter of Nicholas L. and Dorothy M. (Thomas) Menario. She was educated in Portland and graduated from Portland High School with the class of 1959. She graduated from the Golden School of Beauty Culture of Portland in 1960. Mrs. Train was employed as a CNA for over 30 years at Devonshire Manor in Portland. She enjoyed spending time gardening and took great pride in the beautiful flower gardens at her home. The main focus of Edythe's life was her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce R. Train, who died in 1999, and a brother, Mark Menario, who died in 1998. Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Payette of Mechanic Falls, Cheryl and her husband Paul Schade of Gray, Stacey and her husband Scott Dawley of Gray; one brother, Joseph Menario of Windham; and four grandchildren, Aaron and Ashley Dawley, Amber Schade and Kevin Payette. A memorial service was be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 21, at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. Tributes for the Train family may be made at www.mem.com. Margaret Bishop Webb passed away in Savannah, Georgia, on September 10, following heart surgery. She was a member of our community, the Congregational Church, and a treasure to know as a friend. She will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her husband Edward and son Dayton. Survivors are sons Frederick Webb of Burton, South Carolina; Charles Webb of Colley Hill, Gray; and daughter Callie Burke of Jacksonville, South Carolina. Brothers Ron (and Luna) Bishop of Cornelius, North Carolina; Paul Bishop of Mexico; and Jake (and Suzanne) Bishop of Hadley, Massachusetts. Daughter-in-law Karen Webb of Reston, Virginia; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ed and Margaret moved with their family to their home in Burton, South Carolina several years ago, coming home to Colley Hill for the summer months. In Burton she was a member of her church choir, served Meals on Wheels for many years, and was always visiting friends in nursing homes and being helpful in any way she could. While Ed was in the army, she and the family moved with him, and she made life-long friends both in this country and overseas. She was a wonderful person. Burial was in South Carolina. |
