Workshop Cancelled

Ornaments Workshop at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village has been cancelled. They extend apologies for any inconvenience.

Annual Apple Pie Sale

Open Range Day

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Royal River Rod & Gun Club, 3.5 mi. north on Rt. 100/4 from Gray Center to left on Hatchery Rd. Free admission. Supervised 35- and 100-yard ranges open to the public. Beginners welcome. Experienced club members can teach you about firearms and safety. FMI 657-4184.

Dog Day

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date September 23). Skyline Farm, 95 The Lane, North Yarmouth. Demonstrations of a variety of dog hobbies, including agility, fly-ball, doggie dancing ("freestyle") and service dog work, among others. Professional trainers will discuss positive-reinforcement training. Spectators will be invited to participate in some of the sports. A "Walkin' Clinic" will teach how to get your dog to walk nicely on leash. Gear and lunch available. Admission $5/car, proceeds to benefit Skyline Farm. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gray Public Library, Hancock Street, Gray. Wide assortment of hardcover and paperback books, magazines, records, audio books, music CDs and video tapes. Most paperbacks are 50 cents and most hardcovers one dollar. Proceeds support the programs and activities of the Gray Public Library.

Family of five or more just $20. Proceeds will go toward the fire department equipment and training funds.
