The O'Briens have a strong tie to New Orleans through their daughter, Maddy, in school at Tulane. Last year, they dove into recovery efforts with Habitat for Humanity in partnership with the St. Bernard Parish Recovery Project. Ellen has created a moving account of their adventure with Habitat for Humanity, which has spurred interest in organizing a service trip from Auburn's UU church. The youth groups from Rockland's First Universalist Church and Edgecomb's Mid-Coast Fellowship organized a mission trip over Thanksgiving Break last fall. Several trip members returned south during the February Break and plan to make another trip this fall. These youth will also share their experience with us on the 31. A potluck starts at 5 p.m. - Southern and Cajun recipes encouraged! This free presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. Please sign up in advance for free childcare, at 783-0461. The First Universalist Church is located at 169 Pleasant Street, across from Dairy Joy. | [an error occurred while processing this directive]
