GNG - The following are updates from various Gray-New Gloucester Business Association members:

•The Gray-New Gloucester Optimist Club is looking for local sponsors to donate raffle items or gift certificates. All proceeds will go back into local events for the Gray and New Gloucester children.

•Youth Learn to Fish Day, sponsored by the Gray-New Gloucester Optimist Club & FET, Inc., in conjunction with Hooked on Fishing not drugs will be held on May 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pineland Farms Campus in New Gloucester. Ages 4-12; join in for an exciting day of hands-on fishing instruction, activities, games, prizes, raffle, and a free cookout!

Youth participants are encouraged to bring their own open water fishing gear and tackle to use. Gear and tackle will be provided for those without. The first two-hundred children will receive a free tackle box filled with goods and a "Learn to Fish Day" tee shirt. No need to RSVP. Contact Barbara Hanley at Barbara.hanley@pinetreenetworks.com or call 688-8248 for more information.

•Gray Historical Society Needs You! Ray Clark and the facilities committee of the Gray Historical Society are trying to find a temporary home for artifacts and space to allow for ongoing research. They do not have much of a budget and thus need not only space, but affordable accommodations as well. Does the Business Community have any ideas about how to help them out? This is a beautiful and educational collection and should be cherished!

•The G-NG BA is hosting another breakfast seminar and is looking for businesses who wish to sponsor this event. The topic for the seminar this time is "Marketing for Success: Developing and Implementing a Small Business Plan." It will be held on April 27. The cost for sponsorship is approximately $150 and includes name mention at the event, advertising in the papers and on the invite cards. If you wish to sponsor this, please e-mail Marilyn Keating-Porcaro at mkp657@aol.com.
