GNG Nordic Ski Team

The State Class B third place ski meister was awarded to freshman Maggie Corrigan, who had a tremendous day in the Alpine giant slalom race at Sunday River, placing 9th overall and a strong showing in the slalom and finishes in the nordic events. Ski Meisters must ski both alpine and nordic events - a very demanding schedule - where the scores are combined from both events. Congratulations to Maggie for a great finish!

The boys team is developing their nordic skiing and showed great potential at the State Meet. Finishers in both events included Cameron Ketchen, Sam Kiyanitsa, Denny McCann and Jackson Marshall. Congratulations also go out to Amanda Cormier who was selected to the Maine J2 (14 to 15 year-olds) team. Amanda will be traveling to Bennington, Vermont this upcoming weekend with the Maine Team for three days of racing against all the other New England State teams. Good Luck Amanda!
