The three appear in a band The Shams which has performed at The Station and The Big Easy in Portland and also at the Windham VFW. The Shams has achieved the finalist position for the past two years straight in the ROCK ON competition of Maine. The band is an integral part of the play with the completing member, Sky Critchfield of Casco on drums. Britnee Ward of Lewiston also appears as bass guitarist for the show. James Kramlich of West Gray has the dual roles of John the Baptist and Judas in the play. He is a graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School and has also been involved in theater and music. Godspell, directed by Colleen Mahan, has a homeless setting with the set depicting a homeless shelter in a back alley and a Mission next to a loading dock. Many will recognize the beloved songs from the show which have become part of America's musical scene: Day By Day, the international hit, and Save the People, Bless the Lord, Learn Your Lessons Well and Turn Back, O Man.
