Spring Meadows golf club in Gray has hired new Head Golf Professional Ben Morey. After graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington, he began his career in 1998 as the Tournament Coordinator for BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens in Florida. He, along with his wife Jill and daughter Carly, moved back to Maine and he became the First-Assistant at Falmouth Country Club in 2005. He completed the Level 3 Golf Professional Training Program and was elected Class A PGA Member in September of 2005. In September 2006 Ben won the Maine Chapter PGA championship and one month later, teamed with the Director of Golf at Falmouth Country Club, Ben Moore, to win the Maine Chapter Pro-Assistant Championship. Ben will offer golf development programs to both individuals and small groups.
