Here's what's going on at Gray's own dance studio:

CHEERDANCE HALF TIME EXHIBITION PERFORMANCE AT ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAME: St. Joseph's College has invited our Cheerdancer students to perform during halftime at a home game on Tuesday evening, February 13, 2007. The college is located off the White's Bridge Road in Windham. Our cheerdancers will join the cheerdancers from CenterStage Dance Studio in Raymond for this exciting exhibition. The St. Joseph's vs. Bowdoin game begins at 7 P.M., and we will perform around 7:45 P.M. Take the family out for fun and support our cheerdancers!

THANK YOU, PULSE DANCE COMPANY: Thank you to all of our Pulse Dance Company members, parents and faculty, who dedicated their time and efforts for the Toys for Tots Christmas Toy Drive. On December 12, Pulse dancers performed with other dancers and singers at the Toys for Tots dance benefit in Scarborough. All performers and audience guests donated a toy for the drive and it was a huge success. We'll keep you posted with upcoming Pulse performances.

RECITAL COSTUMES - PAYMENTS DUE JANUARY 7: The faculty has started to select recital costumes and we are currently measuring students for sizing. Dancers require a costume for each class that they are enrolled in. Costume payments are due in the office by January 7, 2007, and fees are non-refundable once costumes are ordered.

Costume fees are $48 pre-school sizes, $55 child/youth sizes, and $60 teen/adult sizes. The companies charge the following for XL sizing: XL child $60, XL adult $65. If you are not sure of which sizing category your child's measurements fall into, please remit fee based on your estimated size by the due date and we will bill or credit your account for any differences the following month.

If your costume requires tights, fees are $9 for children, and $13 for adult sizes. The studio orders all dance tights to ensure they are the same shade. The tights order is placed in February and we will notify each class that needs to order.

If your costume payment is not received by January 7th we will not be able to include your child's costume order with the rest of the class, so please mark your calendar. If your payment is received late and we order it as a single item, the costume company will consider it a "separate order" and they will charge a $10 separate shipping fee, which we will in turn need to charge to the student's account. Individually placed costume orders will not arrive with the class order. Costume companies will not guarantee that late orders will be delivered in time for picture day/recital.

Combination classes: Young students who are enrolled in combination classes (ballet/tap or jazz/tap) will either perform 2 short recital pieces or one full piece in one form of dance. If the instructor elects to do 2 pieces we will order a "2 in 1" costume, which consists of one basic leotard and 2 different accessories such as a skirt and pants, fringe skirt and tutu etc. Combination costume fee is $55.
