TOP FLIGHT 4 ON 4 BASKETBALL LEAGUE: Hot Shots took sole possession of first place when they held off Colonial Tree, 88-77, in a battle of undefeated teams. Hot Shots actually trailed most of the game before taking control late in the 2nd half. Pete Serafin continued his hot shooting, hitting for a team-high 29 for HS. Scott Sanfino chipped in 19 for the winners. Brian Wohl led Colonial with 31 and Jason Leveque added 25. Dream Team stunned the Legends, 92-87. Dream Team raced out to 14-point halftime lead and never trailed, coasting to the win. Seth Farrington, who hit some big free throws to seal the game late, paced DT with 25 and Ian Hebert contributed a strong 24. Caleb Sayward poured in a game-high 39 for the Legends and Travis Seaver had 33. Team Hancock held off a feisty Young Guns team, 91-79. Hancock actually trailed at the half before taking charge in the 2nd for the win. Matt Hancock dominated the scoring again, this time pouring in 45 to lead all scorers. John Kohtala was steady in adding 27 for Hancock. Dave Brown and Anthony Holuka led the Guns with 27 and 26 respectively. Smith Barney trailed at half and then came out with a strong 2nd half defensive effort in downing the Wrath of God, 84-58. Joe Bourgault knocked down five 3-pointers and finished with 31 for SB. Pete Kelley added 21 as well for SB. John Conley and Scott Moynihan each hit five 3s and both finished with 22 for WOG. Standings as of 10/29: Hot Shots 4-0, Colonial Tree 3-1, Hancock 3-1, Dream Team 2-2, Legends 2-2, Smith Barney 2-2, Wrath of God 0-4, Young Guns 0-4. Game times are 6:30 and 7:30, Mondays and Tuesdays.

MEN'S FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE: All games on 10/29 were cancelled due to the weather. With one week left in the regular season, the standings are: Swamp Dawgs 5-1, Gang Green 5-1, Red Dog 5-1, Hitmen 4-2, Backyard Bombers 2-4, Clockwork Orange 2-4, Lightning 1-5, Blitz 0-6. Games are Sunday mornings 8, 9:15, 10:30 and 11:45. Come down and check out the action. No player of the week. Duh!
