TOP FLIGHT 4 ON 4 BASKETBALL LEAGUE: The Fall League tipped off with five-time defending champ Team Hancock getting knocked off by new team Colonial Tree, 92-81. Brian Wohl hit seven 3s and Jason Leveque four; they finished with 35 and 34 respectively for the winners. Matt Hancock poured in 57 in a losing effort. The Legends held off a second-half charge by Wrath of God to win 75-65. Travis Seaver scored 26 and Caleb Sayward 19 for the Legends. John Conley had 20 and Sam Coggeshall 18 for WOG. Summer League runnerup Hot Shots defeated Dream Team, 93-79. Pete Serafin powered his way to 35 and Alan Grady scored 22 for HS. Mike Amergian shined in defeat, scoring 34 for DT. Ian Hebert added 18. Smith Barney ran the Young Guns out of the gym, 128-79. CJ Lefevre nailed eight 3s and finished with a game-high 36 for SB. John Bagshaw was right behind him with 35. Chris Driscoll paced YG with 32 and Chris Bennett chipped in with 24. Game times are 6:30 and 7:30, Mondays and Tuesdays.

MEN'S FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE: The Hitmen kept the Blitz winless, winning a thriller, 35-34. Shaun Morrison tossed four scoring passes, two to Cory Maddox for the Hitmen. Pete Holmquist threw four TD passes for the Blitz. Gang Green destroyed Clockwork Orange, 52-6. Eric Gagnon threw four TD passes and Brandon Hinkley grabbed three TD receptions for GG. Swamp Dawgs crushed Backyard Bombers 70-14. Billy Call fired nine TD passes, including four to Seth Farrington, who also had two interceptionss. Jamie Irish had two scoring passes for BB. Red Dog outlasted the Lightning, 56-40. John O'Brien threw seven TD passes, three to Chris Driscoll. Mike Larochelle of the Lightning threw four TD passes as well in a losing effort. Standings as of 10/2: Red Dog 3-0, Swamp Dawgs 3-0, Gang Green 2-1, Hitmen 2-1, Backyard Bombers 1-2, Clockwork Orange 1-2, Blitz 0-3, Lightning 0-3. Games are Sunday mornings 8, 9:15, 10:30 and 11:45. Come down and check out the action.
